Kindly note below recommendation sent from the River Parana Pilots Business Centre to Parana River Authorities regarding the Parana River's condition:

***QTE***
The Parana River is going through a persistence of low waters, product of a marked scarcity of rains in the upper basins of Parana and Paraguay.

River flows will remain low and close to the minimum levels recorded in the last 40 years.

Due to this extraordinary situation, we request through you, that vessels in ballast operate, to enter with drafts no greater than 7.00 meters or with appropriate drafts to cover 75 % of the ship's propeller.

The prevailing conditions of the levels in the river, added to that many vessels in ballast transiting with drafts greater than those suggested, generate considerable delays in waiting downriver transit with decreased safety margins during main channel crossing.

We will keep you posted with any further developments.
