Please note that, according to the latest information from the Shipping Chamber, La Plata Coast Guard has issued an updated decree revoking the previous one in force. Now, the requirement for the receiving vessel to appoint an Oil Spill Response Organization (OSRO) for bunkering operations in the mentioned area would no longer be applicable.
As per Ordinance No. 8/98 – National Contingency Plan (PLANACON) – only the supplying tanker must report the nominated OSRO to the maritime authority.
